SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic Payroll Examiner 2 to join the Office of Human Resources.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate and oversee agency payroll operations.
Direct the work and oversee employees performing payroll related functions.
Calculate and/or verify salary calculations and related factors for agency employees.
Provide customer service to agency employees and department managers on payroll and/or personnel related issues.
Interpret and apply policies, rules and regulations issued by the Office of the State Comptroller, the Department of Civil Service, and the Division of the Budget; multiple negotiated agreements between NYS and the employee unions; and the State Finance Law governing salaries, lump sum payments, deductions, leave credits, and other factors which affect employee payrolls.
Review transactions to determine appropriateness and accuracy of position information, personal, and job data; and independently resolve any discrepancies with appropriate parties prior to transaction submission.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate must be reachable for appointment on a present, permanent Civil Service eligible list for Payroll Examiner 2, have previously held the permanent title of Payroll Examiner 2 or be eligible for transfer to this title.

Starting Salary: $56,355, Salary Grade 15
Schedule: Day Shift (Monday-Friday)
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
