The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Cost Accounting Supervisorto work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
The Cost Accounting Supervisorwill establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial information; perform financial analysis to support operations, marketing, and management to make informed business decisions; and identify, analyze, and implement operational and compliance improvements.
The key responsibilities of the Cost Accounting Supervisorinclude, but are not limited to:
Manage the multi-site Cycle Count Compliance Program
Oversee or directly perform daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of specific KPI's and financials
Provide value added analysis to Controllers, Marketing, and Operations to help make sound business decisions
Calculate financial impact of insourcing, outsourcing, and work being transferred between facilities
Participate in ensuring accurate inventory valuations and inventory reporting
Act as the leading advocate for material variance mitigation and cost reductions
Lead the consolidation and analysis of absorption vs.
cost incurred
Significant ad hoc reporting and analysis
Salary $87,000 - $95,000

The Person -
The key skills and qualities of a Principal Cost Accountant at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics; MBA preferred
5 plus years working in cost accounting for a manufacturing company
Prior work experience in government contracting, specifically with cost or pricing data preferred
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively on cross-functional teams
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work requirements in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to effectively communicate and influence employees at all layers of the company
