The Public Relations Specialist supports growing brand awareness through a multi-faceted approach including oversight of all NYCM social media channels; maintain NYCM Blog; build and uphold the NYCM Insurance reputation within the media.
Study objectives, policies, and company needs to assist in cultivating public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborate amongst organization to develop social media, website content, intranet content, agency communication, and customer communication to promote and enhance the NYCM brand.
Assist Public Relations Supervisor with strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, services, and NYCM brand.
Integral member of NYCM Blog, including writing and publishing blog articles, utilizing search engine optimization (SEO), and assisting in tracking of analytics.
Write and distribute press materials including press releases, proactive pitches, and any other media communication in collaboration with Brand Management, other divisions, and management.
Provide written drafts and key talking points for management.
Crafts consistent organizational voice and tone to meet key marketing and branding objectives.
Coordinate content creation, schedule, and monitor social media networks including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest.
Identify opportunities to collaborate with third party vendors to achieve branding and public relations needs.
Establish and maintain relationships with consumers, community, employees, and media.
Back-up to Event Coordinator to oversee external events and functions when multiple events occur on simultaneous dates.
Maintain targeted media list.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School diploma and four years' experience in communications, public relations or a closely related field OR a Bachelor's degree in Bachelor's in communications, public relations or a closely related field.
Valid NYS Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

Computer proficiency and technical aptitude.
